GUIDELINES FOR PROPOSALS TO
HOST AN ICEM
The following guidelines are issued to advise those who wish to submit a proposal to host a future ICEM conference. The format of previous meetings should be studied. Proposals should be submitted to the International Chairman with a copy to the International Secretary, in good time for consideration by the International Steering Committee at the next ICEM conference.
3-day meeting in early September
Easy access for international travellers
Organisers with good knowledge of the electrical machines field and experience of running conferences
Attractive venue with interesting features, including cultural and technological visits
Modern technical facilities at the venue; accommodation for lunches, coffee etc.
500-seat theatre for plenary sessions
Suitable rooms for 3 or 4 parallel sessions and adequate space for poster displays
Range of accommodation for delegates, including high quality and economical options, within easy reach of venue and preferably without the need for transportation
Local and national sponsors, to assist in maintaining low registration fee
Attractive location for high-quality banquet, usually in the middle evening of the conference
Invited plenary papers
Local Organisers take full financial responsibility (profit or loss)
